Accu-Sort Imaging SystemsAccu-Sort AV3700 CameraVisionKey lets you automate sorting of packages without bar code labels. With VisionKey as a component of your bar code labeling system, you can:
The basic VisionKey system consists of an AccuVision camera, a Windows NT-based bar code reader/image server PC, and a remote key entry station. If the AccuVision camera does not detect a bar code, the image server sends a compressed image of the package surface to the remote key entry station. At the station, the image is displayed on a screen, where an operator enters the required information using a keyboard. The manually entered information can be used to sort the package or to print and apply a label for future sorting. The basic system can be expanded to meet your specific application needs. The number of cameras and key stations required will depend on the number of labels that need key-entered information. Multiple cameras can be connected to a single key station to maximize personnel utilization. The VisionKey system incorporates custom workflow organization software, included at no additional cost, which works two ways to help prevent missed packages. First, it equalizes output from the image server to the remote key entry stations, preventing missed parcels due to operator overload during peak operation. Second, the software allows for supervisor interaction to help minimize data entry errors. Typical Applications Include
