Accu-Sort Imaging SystemsXLT-200 ScannerAccu-Sort's XLT-200 has a unique scan pattern for excellent readability, even with specular reflection. The Accu-Sort XLT-200 omnidirectional scanner provides a flexible and cost-effective solution for applications where high scan rates are not required. The XLT-200 generates two overlapping patterns, which cover the same area from different angles of incidence. If a bar coded glossy surface is presented at an unreadable angle to one of the scan lines, the other scan line will read the code. Shiny labels, or those covered with shrink wrap, tape or other reflective material have generally presented a problem for bar code scanners. The XLT-200 scan pattern solves this problem. Accu-Sort's patented DRX® (Data Reconstruction) technology uses partial scans to reconstruct bar codes with 100 percent accuracy. DRX enables low aspect ratio codes to be decoded and improves the read rate on damaged and poorly printed codes. The TachTrac option tracks boxes as they pass through the scan pattern, matching codes to the correct box. This option allows package spacing as close as 2 inches for optimum throughput and productivity. The single brushless DC motor/prism and all other optics are sealed in a separate compartment. Improved A/D circuitry increases depth of field and decodes low-contrast bar codes. The XLT-200 is NEMA 12-rated to perform in harsh industrial environments. The unit has two serial ports, along with photoeye, tach and relay connections. Diagnostics determine laser diode and motor status and check voltages and tachometer functionality. LEDs for carton presence, power, tach and read/no-read make basic troubleshooting a breeze. Typical Applications Include
